There will be two scenarios in which a visa H1B holder's H-1B work visa can be renewed further than the existing 6-year maximum restriction. The irst is if you submitted a Labor Certification application or an I-140 petition a year before the six-year limitation expired and the Labor Certification or I-140 petition is still being processed.
The other circumstance is if you have an authorized petition but your mmigrant visa number is now unavailable due to visa retrogression, and you don't need to wait the whole 365 days. In this case, you may be able to extend your H1b visa for three years at a time, and this can be made much better if you have a job offer.
